At NJIEC, midterms are a wrap, and we want to give a huge shoutout to all our hardworking apprentices! Special congratulations go to Dan Buckley, who absolutely crushed it with a perfect 100%!
Daniel’s secret? Consistent studying and actually understanding the material—not just memorizing it last minute. His advice? “Review along the way in smaller amounts while taking the time to understand the material.” Breaking it down into smaller chunks made it easier for him to absorb everything.
Tackling the Tough Stuff. Even with solid prep, some topics can be tricky. For Daniel, voltage drop was the hardest part. His approach? “Re-read the question carefully to see what's really being asked. Take your time.” Slowing down helped him stay confident and get the right answers.
Shoutout to His Instructor. Daniel gives major credit to his instructor, Ron Pecina. “Ron is always available for any help I need. I appreciate his enthusiasm for the trade and his willingness to help his students.” Having a great mentor made all the difference.
His coolest Work Experience So Far? One of the highlights of Daniel’s apprenticeship? Bucket truck work. “It’s great to see the world from a different view from day to day,” he says. Working up high brings a whole new perspective to the job!
Advice for Fellow Apprentices? Ask questions! “Don’t be afraid to ask questions or for help, even from classmates. Everyone is learning together, and collaboration is key to success.”

When he’s not mastering electrical work, Daniel volunteers at a local wildlife rehabilitation center. He helps enrich the animals’ environment and assists in their recovery—talk about dedication on and off the job!
Huge congrats to Dan for his amazing achievement! His hard work and passion for learning are an inspiration to all NJIEC apprentices. Keep it up!
